Each year, we try to get out updated products for the latest version as quickly as possible. Sometimes this is delayed for various reasons. If eager to test out the product for the next version, feel free to try this installation manual upgrade to get the product up on the next version.
In the instructions below, you'll need to use the following:
Previous year's version number YY.Y (ie: 2023 = R24.2)
New year's version number XX.X (ie: 2024 = R24.3)
1. Close all Civil 3D versions.
2. Browse to the App install directory
a. C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\
3. Locate the bundle for the corresponding app and go inside the folder.
4. Edit the PackageContents.xml file and open it in a text editor such as Notepad or Notepad++
5. Do a find and replace
a. Find "SeriesMax=RYY.Y"
b. Replace "SeriesMax=RXX.X"
6. Save and close the XML
7. Open Civil 3D
