New Features:


General:

This version is a completely rebuilt version of Pipe Network Productivity Tools. Full code restructure in C# and a new Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) user interface. A complete overhaul was necessary with the forward plans in store for future efforts of Pipe Network Productivity Tools and to assist in helping to share this product in more languages around the world.


Key new features:

Settings -

  • By default, settings are now stored in the DWG files as the tools are used. Thus, unique drawings can have unique settings saved only for that specific file, allowing multiple users to access those same settings. If settings do not exist in a file, the settings xml stored in the Documents directory below is utilized.

  • Global settings allows for controlling leading and trailing zeros

Crossing Labels:

  • Now offers the ability to show crossings with conflict in a show in a specified color.
  • Now offers the ability to perform proximity checks on crossings and show in a specified color.
  • Now offers faster sequential labeling when label surface and label alignment is turned on - it recalls the last selection.


Crossing Tables:

  • Now offers the ability to update crossing tables.
  • Locate on the ribbon on the labeling panel. Or use the command 'RTCL_CrossingLabelsUpdateTable'


Pipe Crossing Label Palette:

  • Now offers the ability to quickly locate all crossing labels in a drawing. Right click to select or zoom to a label.
  • Use the palette to make modifications to the label's references.
  • Locate on the ribbon on the labeling panel. Or use the command 'RTCL_CrossingLabelsPalette'


Feature Line from Pipes:

  • Now offers the ability to create a 3D polyline from pipes instead.


Ribbon:

Icons have all been updated to reflect the new icons used throughout the product. Some panels have been rearranged to make space for new commands and to ensure the ribbon fits on a 15" monitor screen.


From the About panel drop down, access to the following additional licensing tools are shipped with the product:


Standalone License HostId Generator

Added the a command to launch this utility from within AutoCAD Civil 3D. Utility is used to obtain a Standalone license. Licensing system utilizes the computer name and Mac address to work properly. This utility extracts that information for license request submittal.


Network License Usage Visualizer

Added the a command to launch this utility from within AutoCAD Civil 3D. Utility is used to view the Network License Server and the Red Transit app licenses installed. Shows the licenses allowed and available and shows who is currently using license(s).


Network License Borrow Utility

Added the a command to launch this utility from within AutoCAD Civil 3D. Utility is used to borrow a license from the server to the requesting computer for a set period of time. App restricts borrowing to 2 weeks maximum time. Users should be aware that there is currently no way to early return a license. Once it's borrowed, it will remain borrowed until midnight of the selected day and will not return until then.
